BD: Corbusier talked to him in a different way. So then they came to talking about housing but housing was still was never considered as architecture. Because it never has that scale neither it had the prominence and of course, not the style. Because technology, the kind of articulation, the use of space, in the public realm is very different from private realm. Some are ritualistic, some are non-ritualistic; Private realm as no ritual.

Dwell ’14: Design for Density

What: The Charles Correa Foundation is curating a National Architecture Workshop for young architects and students of architecture & design with the intent to explore and ideate on the issue of housing in urban densities. DWELL 2014 will explore the many dimensions of designing a dwelling – a most basic unit – in an urban context. 6 teams will ideate on designing a unit in 6 urban centres of varying scales, capacities, character and climate.
